| Why did you become a teacher? |
| I love to teach students and watch the development of their right brain. I love to improve a SYSTEM. You must have a working system to be successful. I love to see improvement with everything: Students, FVRR Staff, boosters, music program, equpiment, schedule, and in the classroom. |
| Years teaching? |
| I student taught at WHS after pushing through college in 4.5 years. Then teahcing 6 years at Marina, 29 years at FV... that's 35 years in this district. I also teach students how to become a great music teacher at Vanguard University when needed in the Spring Semester. |

| Most memorable moment |
| I remember the fun and busy days teaching everything by myself with three other staff. One guard, one percussion & one drill designer. From 1983-1997 was my baby...today training for competition is beyond a four person staff. 1992 Field season that put us into the next level. 1997 Water World Field Show put us into a higher level...judges and fans still talk about that year! (That was my last show concept I developed...new staff...new ideas now! 2001 Field Season. 2001 Wind Ensemble was great. 2001 WGI Championships. "Stop #*!% with my band" quoted at a Vegas warm up. The 2004 Field Season proved FV is still alive and kicking. 2005 SCSBOA 5A Championships, Orchestra Performances...top ratings, working on the Gwen Stefani Music Video, and the 2006 5A Championships, 2007 Teacher of the Year, and the 2009 Silk Road Show... What is my favorite show? "The show being designed next." |
