I serve as the English Language Learner Facilitator for HBUHSD. I am also a site representative for the District Educators Association.

Wonderful husband, Greg - Two perfect sons, Mitch and Matt - Four pretty cool stepchildren - Two adorable step-granddaughters, Jada and Jordyn - Two dogs, Louis and Gigi - One very independent cat, Kitty - One desert tortoise, Gertie (He's over 50 years old!)

Why did you become a teacher?

I have a love and appreciation for the subject matter I teach - the English language and the wonderful pieces of literature written in that language. More importantly, I am passionate about fostering that appreciation in my students. Working with teenagers is one of my life's greatest pleasures!

Years teaching?

2009-2010 will be my tenth year at FVHS.

Interests & Hobbies

Reading, traveling, BASEBALL (Go Angels!), gardening, spending time at the beach, and entertaining

Most memorable moment

Most recently, my heart was full of love and pride when I watched my older son, Mitch, graduate from Newport Harbor High School.
