Family
I have been married to my husband, David for 32 years! We have a 29 year old daughter who is an alumna of FVHS. We have three cats. One is a former FVHS "bungalow cat" who now lives the "good life". .
Why did you become a teacher?
I believe I wanted to become a teacher the moment I left high school. I was inspired by some wonderful teachers. When my daughter began school I had the privilege of volunteering in the classroom and was also inspired and encouraged by those teachers. I taught Sunday school at my church and came yet another step closer. I finally pursued my teaching credential and began teaching as a "second" career". This is truly the most difficult yet most rewarding work I have ever done. I hope that I can inspire and direct students towards their goals and careers.
Years teaching?
The 20010/2011 school year marks my 18th year at FVHS! I worked in sales marketing for 15 years before returning to CSULB for my teaching credential.

| " I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious about life."
Albert Einstein
" You must be the change you want to see in the world." Ghandi |
Interests & Hobbies
I love to travel! Paris is my favorite city, for the museums, food, shopping and history. Hawaii is best for rest and relaxation--my new-found activity here is scuba diving. I also sew, silk paint, attend culinary classes and I mosaic using pieces of china. I especially enjoy learning about different cultures through foods, fashion and art!
Most memorable moment
Swimming with a pod of Hawaiian spinner dolphins in Ho'nau'nau bay. Swimming with the green sea turtles was also awesome! Just spending time in Hawaii with family and friends.
