Family

I live with my wonderful husband, Joey, my energetic and hilarious son, Connor (11), and Chewy (the dog).

Why did you become a teacher?

After I graduated college I thought I would try my hand in some sort of laboratory science field. I ended up at an environmental firm and 8 months later, I was happy to walk out of there and go back to school to get my teaching credential. Many years later (today), my advice to my students is this: Whatever you end up doing in your future, you must love it or you will be miserable. Needless to say, I am the antithesis to miserable. I love the kids, I love my subject, and I truly enjoy my work.

Years teaching?

I have been teaching for 13 years now. I actually graduated from FVHS, did my student teaching here, and now I am back. It really feels like home.
