Awards
In June, 2010, I was chosen as one of 500+ teachers of AP Statistics nationwide to score the free response questions in Daytona Beach, Florida for the College Board. I worked alongside textbook authors and workshop presenters. It was a remarkable experience which taught me much and I am most proud for having been selected as one of this elite group.

Most memorable moment
In my class, no put-downs are allowed. Such an act requires that the rule-breaker say two nice things to the offended. My own children must also say two nice things when they have broken this rule at home. One day, Ian (11 years old) and Fiona (4 years old) were playing upstairs. I was enjoying peace and quiet in the kitchen, when I heard Ian yell, "Mom, Fiona hit me!" Before I could respond, I heard Fiona reply "Ian, you're nice and you're intelligent!"
