Additional Information |
Academic Background
I earned my BA in Mathematics Education at Brigham Young University. Go Cougars!!
Family
I grew up in the Land of the Frozen Chosen, otherwise known as Minneapolis, MN. Ya sure, you betcha! Don't you know. I have been thawing out in sunny SoCal for 10 years now and love it. My parents are now out in SoCal. I am the oldest of four kids in my family. I have one younger sister, a brother-in-law, and my two younger brothers. I have two playful, fun, smart, loving, cute dogs, Lady and Suzy Q.
Why did you become a teacher?
I became a teacher because I had such great teachers in my family and in school growing up who had a tremendous positive impact in my life that I knew I wanted to emulate them and give back what I can. Math is a talent of mine and a passion.
Years teaching?
I am starting at FVHS in my 12th year of teaching. I come from Ocean View High, Irvine High, Palos Verdes Peninsula High, Tamalpais High, and a couple years of middle school math. I have taught everything from Essentials of Algebra to Pre-Calc Honors.
